A Celebration of Excellence

Last week Sherwood Heights was pleased to host the 2017-18 Fall Awards Night. This annual event is an opportunity to recognize student dedication, perseverance, and achievement. These students exemplify our school motto: Reach for the Heights.

The prestigious Cougar Award went to Kendal Kropp, who teachers described as a kind, humble and well rounded student. The Logos Award was won by the hardworking, quiet leader Kaitlin Marler.

Elk Island Public Schools Board Chair, Trina Boymook, attended our ceremony and she congratulated our students on their achievements in Academics, Fine Arts, Option Courses, Leadership and Citizenship. She encouraged students to set their goals high for next year and continue to strive for excellence. A number of parents and staff commented on the ceremony, saying how much they enjoyed the joyous celebration.

For anyone who was unable to attend, the one hour event was recorded and it is posted on our school Facebook page.

We want to thank all the parents, teachers, and other community members who helped our students to achieve success. Congratulations all!
